Cloud infrastructure for hospitals, labs and health-tech
Run hospital information systems, imaging archives and patient apps with patient data kept in India, access limited by role, and backups you have actually tested.
In short
What does Neon Cloud offer healthcare organisations?
Neon Cloud hosts clinical and patient-facing systems on infrastructure in India: virtual machines and managed Kubernetes in private networks, NVMe volumes for clinical databases, S3-compatible object storage for scans and reports, and nightly backups kept in India. Access is limited by role with multi-factor sign-in, data is encrypted at rest and in transit, and managed services can monitor, patch and test restores for you, so the systems clinicians depend on stay up.

The challenge
What do healthcare systems need from a cloud?
Clinical systems are judged on two things: they stay up, and patient data stays private.
Systems that can't go down
Admissions, pharmacy, lab and billing systems run around the clock. An outage slows care, not just paperwork.
Patient privacy
Health records are personal data under the DPDP Act. Only the right staff should see them, and every access should be recorded.
Imaging archives that keep growing
X-ray, CT and MRI studies add up quickly. Storage should grow without buying new hardware every year.
Backups you can trust
A backup is only as good as its last restore. Clinical systems need backups that are tested, not just taken.
How Neon Cloud fits
Which Neon Cloud services fit healthcare workloads?
The building blocks for clinical systems, imaging and patient apps.
Virtual machines
Memory-optimized VMs for hospital information systems and their databases, on Linux or Windows Server, with high availability included.
Object storage for imaging
S3-compatible object storage for scans, reports and documents, with versioning and lifecycle rules, priced per GB a month.
Private networks
A VPC for each system, security groups, and site-to-site VPNs that connect hospitals, clinics and labs.
Security controls
IAM with roles and multi-factor sign-in, a dedicated firewall, next-generation antivirus and SOCaaS security monitoring.
Managed backups and patching
Neon RMM watches backup jobs and patches operating systems in an agreed window; the Advanced tier adds quarterly restore tests.
Managed Kubernetes
Run patient apps, telemedicine and appointment platforms on Neon Kubernetes Engine, close to your clinical data.
Reference architecture
What does a typical healthcare setup look like?
Hospitals and clinics connect over encrypted tunnels; clinical systems and patient apps run in private networks, with imaging in object storage and nightly backups in India.
Assess
We review your hospital, lab, imaging and patient systems, their data volumes and how much downtime each can take.
Design
Private networks, access roles, backups and restore tests, designed with your IT team and software vendors.
Migrate
Systems move in low-activity windows, with a rollback plan and your vendors on the call.
Operate
Managed services monitor, patch and test restores, and send you a health report every month.
Security and compliance
How does Neon Cloud help protect patient data?
Patient data needs privacy controls, security controls and a clear answer to where it lives.
- Patient data and backups stay in India, which keeps data residency simple under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and in contracts with hospitals and insurers.
- Access limited by role, with multi-factor sign-in and an audit log of every change.
- Encryption at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS 1.3.
- ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified and SOC 2 Type II audited.
- A data processing agreement is available on request, setting out how we handle the data you host.
Your organisation remains the data fiduciary under the DPDP Act and decides how patient data is used; Neon Cloud processes the data you host on your behalf. Clinical and medical-device rules stay with you and your software vendors.
Use cases
What do healthcare teams run on Neon Cloud?
From the hospital's core system to patient-facing apps.
Hospital information systems
HIS and EMR systems with their databases on memory-optimized VMs, sized for the whole hospital.
Imaging archives
PACS archives and scanned reports in object storage that grows with your studies.
Diagnostic lab platforms
Lab information systems, report delivery and portals for collection centres and partner clinics.
Telemedicine and patient apps
Video consultation, appointment and prescription apps on Kubernetes, with data kept in India.
Health-tech SaaS
Multi-tenant platforms for clinics, pharmacies and insurers, with a separate VPC for large customers.
Analytics and AI
Reporting, research datasets and AI models on memory-optimized VMs or cloud GPUs, quoted on request.
Trusted by businesses that run on Neon Cloud
- In India. Neon Cloud runs in a data centre colocated in a Tier III facility in Delhi NCR (Noida), and your data, including backups, stays in India unless you move it.
- Yes, for the infrastructure. Patient data stays in India, access is limited by role and recorded, data is encrypted at rest and in transit, and a data processing agreement is available. Your organisation, as the data fiduciary, remains responsible for consent, notices and how the data is used.
- Usually, yes. Most HIS, EMR and lab systems run on Linux or Windows Server VMs with a standard database. We check the requirements with your software vendor before the move.
- In layers: a dedicated firewall with intrusion prevention, next-generation antivirus on each VM, security monitoring with SOCaaS, and regular backups with tested restores so you can bring systems back.
- A 99.95% uptime SLA on the Essential and Premium support plans (99.9% on Starter), high availability included on every VM, and 24/7 support for critical incidents on Essential and Premium.
- Object storage is priced per GB a month in rupees, with a 500 GB minimum and a lower rate above that. The pricing page shows the current rates.
